Protecting Children’s Rights
Recognizing the deeply entrenched cultural practices that perpetuate gender-based violence, we led a team of volunteers to engage with community leaders, religious figures, and policymakers to raise awareness about the harmful effects of FGM and advocate for its eradication. Through community dialogues, and media campaigns, we have succeeded in shifting attitudes and fostering dialogue around this taboo subject, contributing to a gradual decline in the prevalence of FGM in our target communities, Osun State and Oyo State, Nigeria.
Now Is the Time to Act
To end Female Genital Mutilation, everyone needs to come together to end this harmful traditional practice that does not have a health benefit.
