OUR FOUNDER'S DREAM
Change begins with a dream, and the dream of this black girl is a society where every child is learning, and women and girls thrive!
ABOUT US
Black Girl’s Dream Initiative (BGDI) is a youth-led not-for-profit organisation that is focused on promoting quality education and bridging the gender gap.
At BGDI, we believe that Art, Advocacy, Research, Technology, and Sports are veritable tools for achieving wide – spread societal development that would include women and girls.
Since its inception, the BGDI has used the media to advocate for gender equality and to inspire women and girls by telling success stories that are often not told or not told loudly enough. The Black Girl’s Dream Initiative is focused on changing the narrative of the young African female and making her an indispensable part of the larger society.
OUR MISSION
To build an equitable society by empowering women and girls to be leaders and decision-makers and reorienting boys and men, to create a society that is not only our shared space but also feels like it.
